Sustainable Reintegration Iraq (SRI 2.0) is a RRF-grant implemented by the Finnish Immigration Service (FIS) aiming at improving the quality and sustainability of reintegration assistance to Iraqi returnees by providing customised post-arrival business development training in combination with group-focused psychosocial support.
The key activities are the project are:
- Business Training: Tailored post-arrival business training will be provided to up to 120 Iraqi returnees from EU Member States (MS), supporting their economic reintegration.
- Psychosocial Support: A newly introduced peer-to-peer support programme, led by professional counsellors, will offer psychosocial assistance to up to 75 returnees, addressing mental health challenges and fostering community support.
The project started in April 2024 and will run for until September 2025.
